1. Go to the e-Fax Portal
The e-Fax portal is located on the left-hand side. To assign an incoming fax, select the "e-Fax" button.
2. Select the Fax to Assign
Next, you will select the fax you wish to assign.
3. Click "Assign" Icon
Click the "Assign" icon to initiate the process of assigning the incoming fax.
4. Choose the Intended Practitioner for the Fax
The first step in assigning a fax is to select the practitioner for whom the fax is intended. Choose the practitioner from the drop-down menu.
5. Select the "Add Section" Button
Next, you're going to select the "Add Section" button.
6. Choose to Notify the Assigned Practitioner
From here, you can decide whether to notify the practitioner. If you choose to do so, ensure the toggle is turned on. If not, simply turn the toggle off.
7. Select Fax Pages
You can divide the fax into multiple documents if desired. Select the pages you wish to assign to the patient's profile.
8. Select the Category to File to Fax Under
Next, we will select the location within the patient profile to attach this document.
9. Assign the Fax to a Patient
Next, assign the fax to a patient by entering the patient's name in the "Patient" search bar.
10. Name the Fax Under "File Name"
Select the "File Name" field and enter a name for your document.
11. Add a "Description" to the Document
Enter a description of your document, in the "Description" field.
12. Assign a "Tag" to the Document
Next, select one or more "Tags" to assign to the document.
13. Select the "Add" Button
Select the "Add" button.
14. Complete Assigning Your Fax
After adding your pages, select the "Assign" option. Congratulations, you have successfully completed adding a fax.
You have successfully assigned an incoming fax to a practitioner using the eFax portal.
