Generate Prescriptions Within Appointment Screen

This tutorial explains how to generate prescriptions directly from the appointment screen.

1. Introduction

You will learn the sequential steps to efficiently create and share prescriptions using the Appointment Screen. Additionally, these steps are applicable from the Patient Profile, should you prefer to generate prescriptions from there.

2. Open Prescriptions Section

Click the Prescriptions tab to access the prescription management area within the appointment screen.

3. Initiate New Prescription

Click the Add button to start creating a new prescription entry.

4. Add Prescription Details

Click the Add Circle icon to enter specific or manually input prescription details for the patient.

5. Select Prescription Presets

Alternatively, you can use the preset button to load the most frequently used prescriptions for your clinic.

6. Apply Selected Preset

Click the Apply button to insert the chosen preset into the prescription form.

7. Save Prescription

Once you feel confident with the details, click the Save button to securely store the prescription information.

8. Share Prescription

After generating the prescription, you can click the Share button to distribute it directly to the patient.

9. Send Prescription via Fax

Alternatively, you can click the Fax option to send the prescription directly to the patient’s preferred pharmacy.

10. Send Fax

The preferred pharmacy is pre-populated if the information is available. If not, you can search by entering the pharmacy name, address, or fax number. EMERGE automatically updates the list of pharmacies in the system.

You have successfully generated and managed prescriptions within the appointment screen by creating, applying presets, and sharing them.
